Geography contour maps without the stress!

Paste the list of features to learn and send a link to the whole class. Tap pins on the map, fix your mistakes and calmly master the whole material — exactly what your teacher assigned!

No account and no ads. Quiz results stay on your device, and you can share a published set with your class.

Three steps

1

Paste the list

Copy the list of objects from your test — numbering, commas and abbreviations such as “L.” or “Mt.” do not get in the way. We match the names to the catalogue.

2

Tap

You see a name and a map without labels. You have three attempts and get feedback right away. Practice mode, or Test mode with distractors.

3

Review mistakes

After a round you see your score and a review list. Send the set to your class by link, code or QR — recipients do not need an account either.

Ready-made sets

Sets prepared by our editors. Once opened, they are saved in the app on your device.

Who it is for

Pupil

You learn exactly from the list you were given — on your phone, on the bus, without logging in. Result history and mistake reviews stay on the device.

Parent

You help your child check how well they know the map, with no account and no ads. Quiz results and learning progress stay on the device. Information about data processing is in the privacy policy.

Teacher

Paste the list once and send your class a link or code. New names can be added right away as “to be checked” before they enter the catalogue. There is no class panel — pupils' results stay on their devices.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free and without an account?

Yes. The quiz, creating sets from the catalogue, sharing, basic local results and ready-made sets are free and will stay free. You do not need an account or an e-mail address to learn. The app does not show ads.

What data do you collect?

Quiz results and learning progress are stored on your device. When you publish a set, its content goes to the server so that it can be shared. The service also processes technical data needed for it to work, to protect against abuse and to measure usage; it may use external services to recognise new names. In a report you can voluntarily leave a contact so that we can reply. Details: privacy policy (in Polish).

Does it work offline?

To learn offline, first open the app and the chosen set while connected to the internet, and download the map of the region in Settings. After that you can solve the saved set without internet. Publishing and downloading new sets and using external sources require a connection. Clearing the browser's storage may remove offline data.

Where does the data come from and is it error-free?

The object catalogue is editorially prepared, the map comes from Natural Earth (public domain) and Polish rivers and lake outlines from OpenStreetMap. The app is not an official source of administrative borders and may contain errors — you can report any object with one tap in the results.

What does “new — to be checked” mean?

A name that is not in the catalogue can be added by the set's author right away (from a source or by picking a point on the map). Such an object works in that set but appears in global search only after editorial verification.

How do I share a set and how long does the link work?

A link, a 10-character code or a QR code — the recipient opens it without an account. User sets are not indexed. A set not opened for 36 months is deleted; every opening renews the period. The author can delete a set with the management key.

Will I lose my results?

Results live in the browser's storage and may disappear when data is cleared or the system decides so. In Settings you can export them to a file and import them on another device.

How do I report an error or inappropriate content?

The set page has “Report abuse”, the results have “Report an object error”, and outside the app there is a content report form (in Polish). We reply within 3 working days if you leave a contact.

Which languages does Konturówka support?

The interface, the website and object names are available in Polish, English and Ukrainian. You can paste a list in any of these languages — names are matched to the same catalogue. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are binding in their Polish version.

We are planning Konturówka Pro

OCR of a photo of the list, sync between devices and extended statistics. Price under consideration: 39 zł rocznie.

This is an interest survey, not a purchase. The feature is not available yet and we do not promise a date. Clicking only records an anonymous, aggregated event — we do not ask for an e-mail. The free core will stay free.
